Omission Disclaimer
Lifts which did not have functional alarm bells in working condition were skipped entirely throughout the trip. Lifts which were out of order were skipped entirely. Service lifts were omitted from the lift galore as were freight lifts & other special-permission-based lifts to mitigate the risk of a negative encounter with security. Pictures are not included in this Readcast.
Introduction
Built in 2016, the North Avenue Academic Building is a blue building on the eastern edge of the campus. It has 6 floors but it is 10 stories tall. It gives off similar vibes to the Borgata Resort in Atlantic City due to the way it was designed. The second floor has an outdoor patio, enclosed by a balcony, unlike the Green Lane Academic Building. Levels 3-5 have a very similar layout, along with level 6. This building opened to the public in September 2016. The ground floor has a canteen right across from the lifts, four full-sized classrooms, a small study lounge across from the auditorium, a computer lab & a midsize auditorium, complete with blue ambient lighting on the walls.
The Lift
The lifts are OTIS Gen2 MRL & among the fastest, quickest & highest-rising on campus. These lifts have a total travel distance of around 26 meters at a maximum speed of 1.8 meters per second. The buttons & fixtures are nothing special as they are just Newer OTIS Series 2 buttons you can find on almost any newer Gen2 anywhere throughout the continent, but what really distinguishes these from other Gen2 lifts of the modern times is how both run.
The car that was included in this video is a smooth, basic standard Gen2 lift with no interesting run character elements to write home about, apart from its wacky deceleration 7 slightly longer leveling time when approaching the lobby level.
