The Rising Salamander Academy
For this lift galore, we will be analyzing & discussing four hydraulic lifts split into 2 parts: Route 31 (Part 1) & 67 CRT 626 (Part 2). The Route 31 part contains the following locations:
The Concourse at Beaver Brook
Independence Elevator Company
67 CRT 626 contains the following locations:
Corbit Building
Quincy Building
Part 1: Route 31
For Route 31, we will mainly be focusing on two lifts in particular, of two different types. One is commonly used throughout the township while the other is used a lot less:
The Concourse at Beaver Brook, which has an OTIS Series 1 hydraulic lift. This one is scenic & faces the front of the building.
Independence Elevator Company, which has a Dover Impulse hydraulic lift. This one has a mirror front & very fast startups.
The Concourse at Beaver Brook
These lifts are very nice OTIS Series 1 glass hydros from the 80s with digital floor indicators on 211 LVM microprocessor controllers. These are goats. They break down often but they do have their quirks to them, e.g. intelligent leveling, jolty startups & speedy accelerated positioning systems. They are veery fast for their rise & what they are as they travel around 135' per minute despite only going a few floors. This lift scores 3.7 stars on the General Chicago Lift Character Report.

Independence Elevator Company
This lift is a Dover Impulse lift from the 80s with sticky buttons. This lift has a mirror front & travels a speed of 135' per minute just like the other one. 4.1 stars on the General Chicago Lift Character Report due to its semi loud motor, jolty leveling & very quick startup & smooth stopping. This is the first non-OTIS or GAL lift I found in Clinton Township.

Part 2: 67 CRT 626
For this part of the lift galore, we will mainly be focusing on two lifts in particular, of the same type but radically different run character:
Corbit Building, which has a 3 floor OTIS Series 1 hydro with a loud motor
Quincy Building, which has a 2 floor OTIS Series 1 hydro with a quieter motor
Corbit Building
This lift is an OTIS Series 1 from the 80s, but this time, on a relay logic controller with analog floor indicator in green. This lift is epic & awesome as it vibrates & has a loud motor going up & has a suction sound from the pump going down. The door is quite clunky. This lift rates 3.5 stars on the General Chicago Lift Character Report.

Quincy Building
This lift is almost exactly the same as the Corbit Building, but has only 2 floors & runs slightly different. It doesn't jolt but it starts up very smoothly going up, has a quieter motor, darker car & higher pitched chimes. This lift is slower going up than it is going down, which is the complete opposite from the Corbit building but still has the same analog floor indicator. It bounces quite a bit before dropping down when going down. This lift rates 4.1 stars on the General Chicago Lift Character Report.

If you would like, you can watch the premiere down below. It will air at 5 PM on August 8 while I'm on my way to Atlantic City.
